A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Genus! I'm an artist specializing in digital art/animation. I received my education at Columbia College Chicago, majoring in filmmaking and minoring in traditional animation. My main focus is on practicing both 2D and 3D character animation. For as long as I can remember I’ve always liked to create things: drawings, ‘books’ via stapling papers together, trying to recreate effects with my camera and laptop. Eventually making my own Youtube channel to upload it on. I always got a lot of encouragement from my friends and family.
Over the years I’ve discovered I work pretty well with technical things, gotten a good eye for analyzing movement in animation, and learn quickly.
My goal is to create an animated series and direct a feature film. Just someone trying to make something of themselves like anyone else. I still have a lot to improve upon but I hope to one day stand up on a big stage and just say “Look mom, I made it”.
